By explaining how the business will manage the health and safety policy within the organisation, staff and stakeholders will become aware of the businesses commitment to health and safety. The health and safety policy needs to clearly define who does what, how they do it and when. This is not needed if the business has less than 5 employees.
It is important to note that a policy will only work effectively if it is followed by all involved and reviewed regularly to stay up to date.
